The language of hospitality is one of service; hospitality professionals use it because they recognize, as professionals, that they must be clear, precise, and always welcoming to guests. While casual talk is fine among friends, one cannot predict the effect that words will have on others. Hospitality is not only a verbal language though ... it is also a series of signals sent with one’s posture, gestures, and most of all, smiles. When true hospitality comes from the heart, it shows everywhere.
